RSAF (Republic of Singapore Air Force) 111 Squadron "Jaeger" was formed in 1987 when they received four Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye Airborne Early Warning aircraft. 111 Squadron is located at Tengah Air Base located in Western Singapore with the main function of providing airborne surveillance and early warning as well as search and rescue and air traffic control. 111 Squadron Jaeger is a hawk-like bird known for its vigilant and courageous behavior, so appropriate for the squadron motto "Vigilance In Control". RSAF #014 is USN Bu.No 162795 MSN A109.

All of the 62 Fighting Falcons operated by the Republic of Singapore are advanced F- 16C/D block 52 aircraft. The first block 50/52 F-16 came off the production line on October 31, 1991. Aircraft 691 was msn 0280, serial 94-0280 and c/n DB-7. Assigned to the 140 Squadron "Osprey" (Motto - Stand Firm in Defence) is based at Tengah Air Base and wears a red tail band. Block 50/52 has improved engines rated at 29,000 lbs of thrust. Over 25 countries operate the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

The 188th TFS/150th TFG of the New Mexico ANG was called to active duty in late January 1968 and in May 1968 began to deploy men and materiel to Tuy Hoa AB in South Vietnam. It was an 11,000 miles trip requiring 3 re-fuels for their F-100s. F-100C Super Sabre SK-737 "Miss Mynookie" was the personal aircraft of Lt. Col. Frederich Fink C.O of the 188th TFS. During the 188th time in Vietnam, May 1968 until May 1969, they flew 6,000 plus sorties.

Captain C.E. Bud Anderson served two combat tours with the 363rd FS/357th FG during WWII. The 357th FG was stationed at RAF Leiston, England and Anderson flew a P-51D s/n 44-14450 B6-S (B6 signified the 363rd FS) adorned with his familiar Old Crow nickname. Bud flew 44- 14450 on 66 missions and added 11 aerial victories to his total. Bud Anderson never had to abort a mission and his aircraft never suffered a hit from enemy aircraft and he returned state side in February 1945 as a Major.

On January 20, 1972 Pilot Bob Mock and WSO John Stiles were flying RF-4C 80-573 on a SAM locating mission. During a low-level photo pass the aircraft was shot down with the crew ejecting seconds before impact and were rescued. 37 years later in 2009 Dan Cherry, another F-4 pilot (replicated in HA1938) met the MiG-21 pilot that he had shot down in April 1972, Lt. Nguyen Hong My (replicated in HA0181). It was determined that Lt. Nguyen Hong My was responsible for shooting down RF-4C 80-573.
